I would get him some buddies and keep them in a 75 gallon grow out tank till they reach 6 to 7 inches then you can try to put them in the bigger tank but keep in mind they are not aggressive to other species of fish. (but they can be to each other) They are rather wimpy actually and might not thrive in with such large predatory fish as tankmates. They do grow very slow. Get him some rocks or something to use as a cave, he looks very unhappy by himself with no cover. You can even use a coffee cup or bowl for a cave until you can find something better. I would not plan on keeping him for long in the ten gallon since its tiny tank and he will need some front buddies if you are expecting him to thrive or act like a normal front. You cant put a bunch of front juvies to grow out in a ten gallon. Get a bigger grow out tank or re home him. Not being mean or anything, just honest.
