looks like a male to me has a pronounced forehead and light bright coloration starting to show we used to seeing males really bright but it could just be a bit stressed from the move feed it a high quality food and give it plenty of hiding spots and it will become brighter in no time

if you do decide to get a second one try and get it similar in size and if they start locking lips this will usually mean you have 2 males if not you got yourself a pair yeah its best to introduce them to each other early

Thanks for your advice, He is showing some nice metallic colors now, Mostly it is a male, I wonder if i'll find a female for him.

If you want another gt, get it now or there will be problems. But i think that is a female. Although its head does mix me up a little. I have a somewhat new gt and some advice... get it in a 55+ tank as soon as possible. Its personality will increase 100%. You can keep it where it is for a while but, thats just my opinion! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
