Don't ever expect the world to ever be fair in regards to who gets what.

In fact, do not expect it to be fair in any manner whatsoever, or you will simply be disappointed.

Trust me, im one person who definitely understands that with friends from both extremes of the wealth spectrum, which is exactly why i said that ;)

Then again, those will the funds will always be looking for their elixir of immortality and power...

This is more about organ growth than anything. How about we look after our organs? If people followed proper healthy diets and lifestyles I'm sure the demand for donor organs would drop significantly. This is unfortunate to see, honestly not what I want to see in my prospective field of work.

It makes sense in theory but for some a healthy diet is unaffordable. Lower quality foods just cost less.

Without debating the ethics of creating chimera’s, i just think its another way for the rich to live longer and the poor to keep suffering...

Coz even if they have a breakthrough in say the next 10 years, i can’t imagine how much longer it would be before the people on lower incomes would have a chance for these treatments to save their lives when needed...

So, what? Because it will be a while for the technology to become affordable for poor people then it should never be invented?

That's the way all tech works, the rich get it first then later the poor can have it. I was shocked to learn rich people had cassettes in their cars in the 60's.

Easier said than done a lot of the times, especially when you working in big corporations putting in mad hours...

I’ve seen plenty of friends who were very fit at one stage completely lose it because they just dont have the time due to long work hours and are always meeting clients for big heavy meals...

So while its easy to say, in reality its not always so easy to do...

So, what? Because it will be a while for the technology to become affordable for poor people then it should never be invented?

Coz i dont want to turn this thread into a heated debate about religion / politics or something else that might break ToS, im just going to say there needs to be lines drawn somewhere with what should and should not messed with in regards to science...

As a sapient ape, I strongly resent the implication that you filthy humans want to hybridize with us
