i started mowing lawns/shoveling driveways/raking leaves when i was like 8 or 9...i use to drag a lawnmower tied to my bike with my sisters jumprope... did that till i was like 13-14 when i got to pick vegetables on a farm.. and by vegetables i mean corn.. and by pick i mean carry a stack of 14 wire handle baskets.. stack like 60 ears of corn in each and run the to the waggon and then play catch up... ... i hated my life by the time i was 15-16.. then i got a car and got an easy job in a brick/lumber/feed yard... at 18 i started working retail.. did that till i was 22-23 then i drove a forklift.. then a few years ago i figured out that i was never going to be the college type.... now im an hvac/r tech... its not bad... however my back is so messed up that im sitting here at midnight cuz my back hurts to much to allow me to sleep

Farm boy. So I was born working. Seriously.
As soon as I came out of mom they shoved me in a gate to hold it open. Or stuffed me in a fence hole to keep the pigs in.
When I put on a little weight, they used me to keep valuable things from blowing away.
I was always doing work for neighbors, who actually paid me. For driving equipment or building stuff.
But the first real official job I had was Petroleum Transfer Engineer (gas station pump jockey)
I was a bit older, had to first buy a truck to get into town.
But I had moved out and was renting a small house on my own when I was 12. So I didn't spend too much time in school. Had to work odd jobs to keep a roof over my head.
