They are. I had a great native collection including a 1" Largemouth Bass. Two months later my native collection was the Largemouth Bass. I have since started another native tank with small fish, and you would be amazed how many species exist that you don't know are there. Thats how I developed my love of natives. Darters are my favorite small fish.
