Update: I got my first fish order, actually delivered on Tuesday. I got a Yellow Bullhead Catfish from Sach's and a Green Sunfish, LO Longear Sunfish, Pumkinseed Sunfish, Blackspotted Sunfish and a MO Longear Sunfish from Zimmerman's. I highly recommend both of these guys if you are ever interested in natives. Zimmerman actual gave me the MO Longear for free since it was one of only few he had left and he wasn't sure he would have it at time of order, needless to stay I was really happy. Both fish arrived during a snowstorm, YIKES! But they all were alive and in great condition.
They are not much to look at yet since they are all between 3/4"-1" (catfish is barely 2"), so I didnt set them up in the 180 yet, they are in a 55 for now. I wanted to get pics but do to their size they don't come out right. I've already got them eating freeze dried bloodworms and shrimp pellets which makes me really happy since I want high protein for them since they are so small. For some reason they wouldn't touch anything but Omega One Tropical Flake the first 2 days (not even frozen bloodworm or brine shrimp)
I don't have any idea why Sunfish are not more popular in the hobby, their markings and flashy spangles (have you seen adult MO Longear's?...So pretty) rival some of the prettiest CA/SA cichlids.
