Everytime I post, I get this all the time .:ROFL: If you're wondering they have been living together with no issues for well over 1 year. The archer was acclimated to 100% when it was very small. It's now 3 yrs old and still thriving at 7" so theory of archer must be in brackish water is busted.:grinno:

Yes, it's an interesting mix of fish but there is a first for everything. I like to be original and pioneer a setup that is not your everday setup.
 
really nice tank! id put a fine layer of sand in there-but thats just me. what about adding some floating plants to the top? just a big clump that floats around? that would be cool too..
 
Yeah..I like proving discus arent so sensitive...lol Because they seem to be more active with big tankmates

Regardless of salt content,i know archers will tolerate fresh,whats your PH? As you have amazon species in with Brackish/Marine.Not having a go,its your tank,do what you like,just seems a really strange mix....

Navygirl, you read my mind. I went to add in another branc of manzanzita and some plants. I don't like having sands. They get into my finger nails and filters.

Eoibio, you're right that discus is not as sensitive as most people think. when they're about 5" they're pretty hardy.

Goanna, I will be giving the arg. mono away.

Ber, What's my PH as in "Player Hating"? My pH is neutral.:D
