First Pike

Got my first Pike yesterday a 8-9" Johanna really nice red and white line on the dorsal (female?). Will take a pic when it comes out of hiding. Currently in a tank with my Bichirs (75Gal). What are some decent dithers to keep it's attention from some of the slightly smaller Bichirs?

female, say goodby to any small fish that will fit into her mouth. Ken

Definitely female, Go with some type of shoaling species the is deep bodied. Anything longer and narrower will definitely be lunch. Also with the size of your Jo, if you go with
Silver Dollars make sure they are at least 3" because anything smaller will likely be lunch. At her size you will have to make sure that whatever you use is larger.

That's a beaty of a Johanna. Lots of red undertones-can't wait to see it in 8 months and 5 inches!

So I got paranoid about her eating my Bichirs so I spent the afternoon setting her up with her own 75g tank.

Very nice girl you have there........She will only get better looking once acclimated and a good diet is given....
