maybe a hybrid demasoni and a sexually confused auratus? lol no but seriously the bottom one looks exactly like an auratus just weird coloring lol

I'm sticking with my ID of Cynotilapia afra 'likoma' for the first fish pictured.
The second one is clearly a male Melanochromis auratus (no weird coloring...)

most male auratus have blue top fins lol.... he could just be young and crossing to male but as of now coloring is slightly different.. lol

Hmmmm I've never seen an auratus with any blue whatsoever...
I do agree that it appears to be a young male in the final stages of his color transformation.

I've never run across a Melanochromis auratus that was blue, except for the Melanochromis sp. 'auratus elongate' species from minos reef which are actually blue, but that isn't what we're looking at. There is a slight aqua color to the lateral stripe on the fish, but I don't see any "blue". Of course, no part of this argument really matters when all is said and done.
