Hard to think of a better use for a tall tank like than angels and clown loaches.Maybe a small group of frontosa?Or some rotkiel severum.

The tank of odd balls sounds cool and I know I want chiclids! but I ran it past the wife and boy and they want to keep the angels...but the boy like the idea of the small fish getting eaten by cool bigger fish and he wants a tank full of piranhas...
So question, what kind of chiclids will go with angels...Do gold sevrums and geophagus work. that would be ok, and what odd balls can i put with angels.
The angels are 2-4 inches now. and teh small fish oh well...will tinfoil barbs work with the angels.., stupid angels although they are getting nice! so angels stay small fish the ones I can catch go to a good home teh ones that don't well lets just say i love to get 1/2 inch fish so they have time till mouths get bigger.
I would also like something in each water column, thats why geophagus on the bottom, angels and gold sevrums in the middle. and something like a non aggressive bigger barb on top...as you can see I have been to some lfs

hey Bass lover its been a while where can i get good choice of south American chiclids and odd balls in mtl, I have had salt for the last 8 years; so its been a little while... since looking. I just went to big als, nature west puke (island, sorry i hate the suburbs) and aqua.

ur idea is fine with some SA cichs, bunch of diff kinds of geos and some big colorful barbs to roam the top..
anyway hers my suggestion,
top: african butterfly, red tail chalceus, apollo shark or denisoni barbs
mid: ur choice of SA cichlids, gold sevs, green sevs, jd, oscar, texas, managuense and whatever else u can get ahold on to.
bottom: diff kind of GEOS (now that would be cool!!), polypterus, school of loaches(i know u already have) or maybe some oddballs like dwarf rainbow snakeheads??? (we just got them)
anyway man, see yah around. i hear the angels stay? they'll be ok!

That tank looks fine the way it is... very nice.
Set up another tank. Tell the wife she can either have another tank in the house or you can get a twin bed for you and put the new tank in her spot cause she is outta there... jk

you should set up small tank and tell the wife if you want the angels you look after them while im doin the work ill decide lol
it's easy, you get the fish you want and say oops, these fish are beating up your angels, think we should get another tank for them (either your fish or her fish)? Then it's her idea, so she can save her "pretty" fishies.
