First post. What do you think of the tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Honestly everyone gets along great! IMy brichardies are breeding so they are very territorial. But no one really messes with them anyways. It a great tank there is so many babies in there i have to tear it down and collect them all. The OBs breed in there also. What i don't understand is I have a wild black calvus about 4.5in and he leaves all the babies alone.

I have a question for you guys on here? I was wondering if anyone had
kuhli loaches in there tank? I put two in there just to cycle the tank(had to) and i still see them once in a blue moon moving around in the cracks of the rocks.

Sick tank bro. Your right in my backyard (live in Vancouver) so if you ever need any help with a tank or anything, just PM me and I'll be there. Welcome to MFK!!

I like to say that there is never enough rock in Mbuna tanks but yours is just perfect. The black rocks really setoff the colors of the OB Zebras. Nice tank. 5 stars ;)

Just curious, but whats the filtration on this tank?

Well brichardi are great at protecting the fry. Whether they are wild or not it is hard to defeat a pair. I am sure he is getting to some of the fry. I though there was no way that my comps were getting fry. Once I removed them, the number of fry tripled...

holy hell, nice start in monster fish keeping. i've had rapheal striped that i have only seen 6-7 times in the 5 years i've had him. unless you barebone the tank you probably won't see him. GL

I am running a small sump with bioballs and biomax mixed in. A fluval 404 with substrat pro and matrix in the trays, with the output hooked up to a gamma 25watt UV. Also i am running a powerhead with a micro filter.

Ya as i am writing this my brichardi just had another batch. Thanks guys for all the comments, I wanna get some more pics but i want HQ ones, so i am waiting on my friend to stop being so lazy and come take pics.
