First Red Wigglers

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They're super easy to keep and breed in a worm farm.
I started a thread on that in this forum some years ago...

We'll fail for tonight's try. I put the red wigglers in without the bloodworms and they came after them and one of the eels even ate one but then they swam away and the one that ate spit out the one he had grabbed. I vacuumed them all out and fed them some bloodworms, which they ate right away.

Kinda had good luck tonight. I only put one small red wiggler, that I cut up into three pieces, in with the thawed bloodworms. Each eel ate one piece of the rear of the red wiggler but for some reason they both checked out and skipped over the head portion and refused it. But hey, at least they each ate a little bit. Progress!

As long as it's meat my fish eat it, other than beefheart. They all eat about 1/4 of it and then the Pleco comes by to finish it 15 minutes later.
