  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Roughly how much did it cost and looks amazing !!

I'm not sure, my brother started the tank but didn't want to finish, didnt even get any fish in it. he had the light, tank, filter, sand, heater, and circulation pump. He gave it to me for 125$ but he was going to sell it for 200$ to someone else.

Do you know how much they cost? It's best to start off slow...

I like the tank, it looks pretty cool.

What filter are you running on it right now?

I agree corals are expensive, that's why next week I'm going to a few stores with 200$ in my pocket not planning to bring any back. I have a few stores around me that are cheap for corals (I think 5$ - 10$ per frag). The filter is an eheim classic 2213 rated for 66 gallons. Now before you question I know many people say saltwater is the murderer of canister filters but I plan on rinsing and cleaning it every week and we'll see how long it lasts.

Ya I was thinking about that, my friend told me I should slowly remove my filter media for live rock rubble and that would be a lot better for my tank and I'm thinking about doing that.

It's like you read my mind, my stock list is a bit high but keep in mind I don't plan on keeping all of them for there lifetime. My brother has a larger 90 gal reef tank that I would be able to move them to. But I was planning on getting 1 more clown, 2 firefish, 2 skunk shrimp, 1 six line wrasse, and a diamond watchmen goby. maybe some more cleaner crabs too. I'm going to get all that next Wednesday so I'll update then.

I would stick with just 2 clowns and maybe a shrimp or a goby

Also, I just need to say it again, It looks amazing. There is something about it that I envy, Maybe it's the tidyness or how it's super clean or maybe the sand? I don't know. For my 17 birthday I'll be doing up my own 20g salt tank and I plan to post some pics, I'll tell you when I have them, Good luck!
