First shot at a planted tank

How long do you guys think the moss carpet will take to fill in ? Im using an led light that came with a 55 gal (this tank is 30 gal) also have jf in there too. Plan to dose with flourish and excel (half dose for excel)

On the 75 gal with flame moss , jf, and anubis im using a 48 in satelite current led

It's gonna take some times and depend on your setup, moss is grow really fast after its adjusted to new environment, you would see some progress next week if you get everything right. When you see it start growing then it just matter of days for them to fill in and out of control if you don't do anything to them :D
 
Water sprite,Crypts, Java fern, Cabomba and anubias are some great beginner plants to start with and actually all you might ever need. GL

Only been a couple of weeks since I put the Java ferns in but already have baby ferns growing on some of the leaves and the swords are looking great... Going to head out and look for some fox tails tomorrow and a local fish store over the boarder in ny hopefully he got some good stuff...
 
I just take a look at your video...you might consider to remove the fish that digging and try to move thing around, look like it eating or try to maw your carpet plants down for you :)
