95 % of the eggs are dark with a black dot on it so i guess thats a good sighn??? are they ment to go dark??
this is the update of tonight !! they were layed sunday morning so its been about 60 hours or so! what are your thoughts are they ment to go this colour???
Dark is good! This confirms that my guy didn't know what he was doing.

i am stresssing about feeding them the bbs i havent quite mastered the techinque of getting the bbs out of the hachary

Re: BBS: Have 2-3 batches going at one time. When you are ready to harvest for feeding, shine a light at one corner of the container, wait for the brine shrimp to swim over to it (this will be a LOT easier if you have a clear container!) Siphon or pour off the rest of the water, and then collect the concentrated shrimp in a turkey baster for feeding. You'll want to squirt them relatively close to the bottom of the tank so they don't disperse before the fry can get to them. I'll let more experienced Cichla keepers weigh in on HOW close to get to the brood, though.
