Would anyone like to tell me some good ideas for my first tank. im new at this and i need some help.

Once you give us anything to narrow it down, we can help you. A price range, a tank size, a certain group of fish..ect..
In my opinion a decent starting tank would be a 29 or 20L, throw some tetras in it and take it from there. Not to big, easy to handle, water changes wont be huge either so you could get used to that. Also it wont cost you a arm and a leg.
