First tanks?

Does anyone remember there first tank?

ours was one of those decorative bamboo aquariums, i would guess that the capacity was between 15 and 20g. i know they were pretty popular in the PI and Guam, i dont know about stateside though.

you have pics of those aquariums? My first tank was a 10G too i believe. I had mollies, platys and corys with white sand running on an undergravel filter.
I couldnt tell you guys how many hours ive spent messing around and just plain staring at it.

i was like 7 it was actually my moms she had a 10gl with a fat black goldfish named chicatetee i got the idea one day if i fed it the whole container of food it'd turn into a shark (made sense to me?) R.I.P. chicatetee

mine was 3 years ago and had a black moor named killer and a calico fantail named lola... I work at a pet store and get nostalgic everytime I sell a 10g.

Ive got 20g tank that my grandad made for my parents.

It would have to be atleast 35 years old. Full of water too.

Mine was a 29g. I had it around 1993. It housed two red snakheads to about 12 inches at which time I gave the whole setup away to this college kid. Now in 2005 I regret this more than ever. At 13 I couldn't afford to feed them 50-100 feeders a week..

My first tank was a bowl that held a single fancy goldfish, for about a week or two. I was 6 at the time (so 19 yrs ago).
My first REAL tank was a 10 gal that I got when I was about 10. It was a community tank with all kinds of stuff in it. I didn't know any better and my dad didn't know anything about fish either so he never flinched when I started to pile a new fish into it every week. Ick ended up destroying the tank inhabitants when I was about 13.
When I moved out I left the tank at my Dad's place. He later got rid of it. Was definitely a fun introduction to fishkeeping though.

yea im sure i have pics of the old aquarium, ill have to dig them up the next time i go home to guam though. i kinda want it back now. spent alot of time myself staring at that old aquarium, rearanging the decor, constatnly checking which fish was gonna lay eggs (never did though)

first tank was an 85 gallon hex. Very nice tank and stand. Just posted a pic. on my gallery. However, it just sprang a leak awhile back and had to take it down. Trying to get it fixed and do a saltwater setup. Any info. on resealing tanks?

My first tank was a little mirmaid 10 gallon with a pair of goldfish..... dirty little things.

I had a little fish bowel with a big wheather loach in it 4 nearly 6yrs until my mum bought a cat .... an u can guess wot happened next... gutted!!!!!
