higher is possible...

The OP would probably like to know how much higher.

OP, I'd say 84 would be safe for your fish. The rams won't mind it at all, and the loaches will put up with it for the time being. Make sure your tank is well aerated, though; higher temps mean less dissolved oxygen.

temperature is slowing going up to 84
just added more ick attach meds.

should i add aqurium salt?
i read that plecos dont tolerate salt well.
what about loaches and salt?

what is a conservative dose of salt and still being effective for ich?
one of the infected treadfin is looking pale now and breathing heavily. dont think this one is gonna make it.

thanks for all the help

loaches can tolerate salt... review lupin's salt and it's uses sticky...

You should be fine in adding salt! I am currently treating my GT for ich, and I was supposed to add about three cups of salt to my 75 gallon. I dosed one cup, waited two days. Dosed another, etc. Just go slow if you're worried. Give the fish time to get used to it. Also, make sure and mix up your salt in a cup of hot, dechlorinated water (I found this the easiest way) and let it cool before putting it in the tank.

Edit: Oh, and don't use a metal fork to stir it and then leave the fork on the table. LOL I figured out that this makes rust. I'm pretty sure it's not a new discovery, though, so I have withheld my findings until now. ;)

thanks for the link..
didnt use anything metal to stir the salt.
used a plastic chop stick =D
