Well I do not know the exact date they were born but they are probably pushing a year old. 10 months in my care. Pics, just for you bro. ;)

Sep 2009 about 3/4" (all look the same at this size)

Jan 2010 about 2" each (the male in the foreground is about 3" he has always been larger)

Jun 2010 about 3" each (the same male as above is currently 4")

I was not expecting them to attempt spawning for another 6 months or so but I knew the male was ready. The suprise was that one of the females was mature enough to produce eggs. They are in a group of x9 in a 125 gallon tank.

thats amazing! thanks for the progression shots, its funny cause looking back i see mine progressing the same exact way, mine went from a group of 10 little gray fish in a 40 to 9 juvies in a 125 :)

Gratz Justin.

Mine are still in my community tank and lay eggs every month or two. got as far as wigglers before the community claims em. Trying to talk the ole lady into setting up a 55g for em but for now the community get a live snack every month or two.

Beautiful pair you got brotha!!!

Thanks Ed! No fry from this spawn (eggs disappeared last night) but it was good practice for them. Will call you soon and catch up. Hope your lady gives in on getting another tank. :D
