Today while my wife was feeding our male Midas. He came to her and so she put it down in the water and he started rubbing against it. Then he just kept going in circles back to her hand and rubbing against letting her pet him. It is so awesome. We love this fish.

He was actually threat dancing and tail whiping (just like 2 big male midas squaring off tail whipping pushing water over each others lateral lines to see who is stronger) around her hand as she was rubbing his lateral line (he must be 10in+), GOTTA LOVE EM lol I love midas
Yep, got to agree that it might have been threatening. Would have to see a video to confirm. My Male does that when he wants my hand out of the tank, their heads definently have a intresting feeling to them.

He does not tail whip it or anything he just goes around and then comes back into her hand. At one point he swam into her hand and just stayed still letting her rub him. He is only about 6 1/2 to 7 inches right now. And I know it is weird but I think he actually likes her.

It is. He is the by far the best cichlid that I have ever owned.
