I have been looking at pictures and threads about rtc's and have grown to love them. My lfs has a few small babies about an inch and a half long that I was thinking about raising them to go in my bigger tank. A few questions i have before i start are, what size tank should i use to start them out 10 20 29 40. i have all of them. What do you feed them at this size? how often do you feed them? what temp ph? and is there anything else i should know other than obvious things. Keep in mind i have other large cats just never had a true rtc only hybrids. any information on these little guys would be great. thanks!

it would be in a 120 until it gets true monster status

Once it hits "True Monster Status", where's it going?

Do a search and you will find countless threads from RTC owners trying to re-home the fish because their housing plans fell through.

An rtc gets true monster status in 5 months...
By then it should be about 2.5 ft or 3 ft if you feed them good. I love how people always make these kinds of threads and think they are not going to get too big, Good luck to the OP that will be giving there RTC away in 5 months like everybody else that has no idea what they are doing, Not trying to flame but I'm tired of these threads.

Yeah, a 120 will hold it for about 3 months.

An RTC will reach 24"+ in 6 months.
