and to all the *******s who decide to answer my simple questions with sarcasm and clever remarks about how ignorant i am.. my screen porch has an enormous pond that i will be putting him in when hes full grown. as i said, i have other large cats and am familiar with how large they get. i was curious however how fast the rtc gets there. so if you dont have any real information for me, i dont need your opinion.

Dude you asked if you should start him off in a 10,20,30, or 40

That kind of just showed your skill level... Now this thread just looks like a joke, and no one believes you have a pond.

Google answers all the questions that don't require a thread ;)

Have read an article recently by an RTC owner who bought a 2" from the lfs (he knew what he was getting and had all relevant tankspace planned) and he said it grew literally 1" every 2 weeks or so. 2 feet in the first year sounds about right.

seriuosly it depend on the fish my rtc is only like 8-10 in and he is about 4 months old. and i dont relly see him growing a foot in a month. he just has never been a real aggresive eater. he is perfectly healthy great color and not skinny just i guess a runt or somethin. you can say its bc of improper care. i dont care what you think. here is a pic if you think there is somethin wrong
