Hi folks

it’s my first time building a stand so pls bear w me. I have thepics of the stand and I was going to put a piece of solid plywood but I had these boards already. It’s 50 x 25 inches and tank is 48.5x 24 inches Would these planks instead of a solid board hold the tank without too much stress on the glass? Glass is 3/8” w bottom frame. Again firsttime building and really know next to nothing w DIYs. Oh tank is 120 gallon. Thanks

I would lay it on top of 1/8” rubber mat. I found a useful mat at Home Depot. They sell it by the foot and it worked perfectly on my 75g setup. Even lined the bottom with it as well.

Terrific job; even more so when considering it's your first.

Honestly, those four planks on the top aren't even necessary, but they certainly don't hurt anything. Make certain that all the screw heads on the top are well counter-sunk, below flush with the top surface. Nice work! :)
