My father and I went sturgeon fishing on Apr 20th for the first time we both caught 4 sturgeons. My Father caught a 60in fish weight was 82 pounds and a 34 in fish we had to let go due to size. I caught a 58 in fish weight was 73 pounds and the a 24in little guy that we let go. So i am hooked on this fish now it is amazing there was a 80in one hooked up to the boat next to us wow!!! I really recomend if you can try to catch one of these beast.

A very good question indeed. Where did you catch your sturgeon's, chris.clay11?

I use to go sturgeon fishing with my uncle back in 1967, on the Columbia River. An experience I'll not soon forget. I'd really like to see your photo's if you ever get them posted. Thanks for sharing.

I went up Rio Vista last week to fish on the delta for the fist time. I was hoping to catch Striped Bass but I didn't catch any. I ended up fishing on the bottom of the Sac River with nightcrawlers hoping to catch some small catfish, which I did, but I ended up hauling in a ~40 inch sturgeon on 10 lb test! Took me a good 20-30 minutes to bring it up and I ended up releasing it.

I asked a simple question...maybe he was thinking about one of the for a tank or something...chill out with the name calling. Hopefully the mods do something about your response as well, unless they consider it OK here to call someone an ass?
