I would give it time because when transporting live rock it will cause a die off of some of the organisms which can cause a spike I would give it a week or two and then start testing to make sure all your parameters are in line.

Oops! Correction...Pistol shrimp not peppermint shrimp. They have disappeared! They probably crawled behind the awesome rock formation my girl set up.

Live rock has been in a week tomorrow... been checking water regularly...also been alling Calcium, Iodine, and this other stuff my buddy at the LFS suggested. Hoping to get a clown and anemone this weekend perhaps. Also, added additional circulation via this little occilating box. The 2 snails I added are doing good, and I can find 1 of the 2 shrimp I added. I did notice some red "hair" growing on a rock though... I am getting good reef bulb tonight.

OK people...two clowns since Saturday... yay.... wake up this morning and the sand has lots of dark brown on it... is it algea? what should I do about it???

it probably is algae, I would vacuum it out and then check your parameters just to make sure nothing it out of wack...
