First two discus

I appreciate that. I do know discus should always be keept in groups and mine will be. I also know that the two i posted are nothing special. I was just happy to have discus and thought i would share. I invite and love to get advice from people who undoubtably have more experience than me. I don't however need elitest implying my fish are going to die.

Nice looking Discus, It's cool your excited about your first Discus. They are amazing fish.
I would loose the blue gravel for a couple of reasons, first being it's blue....lol.
Seroiusly a sand substrate would be better due to the way thaey like to graze and blow the food up to eat it. It's very easy to syphon the debris off the top too. Keep the water clean, the environment stable and you should be fine. Keeping the lighting a little on the dim side will also help them feel more comfortable too. Good luck.

Do what ever you have to do to keep the wife happy! If you really want to lose the gravel, next time you do a water change have the wife help and stir up the gravel then she will understand why discus lovers hate gravel! Just a thought
