can you use stainless steal pot scrubbers cause thats all the places by me sell

Put a magnet to them, I'll bet it sticks. If it does they will rust and / or leach toxins into the water same as the copper ones.

Keep looking for the plastic ones. Here in Florida we have Dollar tree, Dollar General and Big Lots, all of which carry the pot scrubbers. WalMart had them also but are incredibly expensive.

if it doesnt stick can i use them? i went to 2 dollar trees one here in IL and another in WI nearther had them. i would have gone to big lots but it just went out of business

In theory they would, BUT I'm real leary of them. I can't believe you could get that high of quality of material at a dollar store. If you've got the time, get a couple and thro them in a jar of water for a few weeks (probably should have an aerator in there too) and see what happens.

BigLots went out huh? I've got 3 within 5 miles of me.

Guess Chicago's not as big as Bradenton Florida

If you can't find the scrubbies, you could try commercial floor scrubber pads and cut them up.
