Fish abbriviations

HRP=Honduran red point .........What ? fish ,turtle,snake ?

HRP is a small, convict-like species. it is an undescribed species fairly new to the hobby (within the past 5-10 years). here are a few pics of ones I've had in the past. I currently have a 3-3.5" male but don't have any good pics of him yet.

Prazi= praziquantel
Metro= metronidazole
fronts= frontosas
HFB= hot fish babes= female mfk members
CFS= chain fish stores
Hith= hole in the head
LLE= lateral line erosion
w/d= wet/dry
hots= poisonous reptiles
rhom= Serrasalmus rhombeus

Today I saw HOT used as an abbreviation for Hang On Tank (as in filter).
I don't really like that one

I have been having some trouble understanding some of the abbreviations for fish. So I just thought we should make a thread for people to write abbreviations that they know for fish that are commonly used for the newbie keepers like me. Thanks.

The only slang I use, really, is calling my jd/tex a jaxas. But I made that up, and wouldn't expect anyone to know wtf I was talking about unless they already knew. LOL Other than that I call severums sevs (duh) and lots of times rather than typing out geophagus, I just say geo or g. insert-name-here.

MFK = Monster Fish Keeper.....
ARO = Arowana
SNKHD = Snakehead fish.

SH is an even simpler abbreviation for snakehead. Why is the word abbreviation so long?
