I saw this on DrsFostersmith.com http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Prod_Display.cfm?pcatid=14679&N=2004+113783

an decided to make one myself as all it really is, is a short length of rigid tubing (like the tubing used on UGFs if there using airstones an not powerheads), a length of airline tubing an a air control valve.

Hardest part is bending the rigid tubing an thats fairly easy (all you need is a heatgun(hairdryer may work to) an something to form it around) the pipe cools off pretty fast.

seems like a pretty good Idea.

i got a tube my mother got from work.... its a tube that that use to put an iv into a person... works well

ya its pretty much the same thing, though I think the valve on IVs is a bit more adjustable.

I feel smart. I use a length of silicone tubing I pulled off one of my old airstones that's hardened into a U. Inside the tank a new airstone acts as a weight. Then to control the drip I use the T valve that came with one of my penguin powerheads.

do you really need rigid tubing? Why not just use a small suction cup tied to the airline on the inside of the tank, put the valve on the end and let er rip!

well you could just leave out the rigid tubing. I just went by what the one in the catalog was.

I'm cheap. I take airline tubing and tie a knot in it lol.
