I was keeping my boom box under my 135g for awhile. The fish definitely noticed when I was bumping loud music. They would hide or school up, but didnt seem particularly bothered. I moved the stereo across the room and it seems they hardly notice now except if I crank the bass and volume and 1800 watts shakes everything in the room...at that point my neighbors notice as well lol.
But otherwise I can't see loud noise affecting fish too much. Especially riverine fish. Ever stood next to even a modest waterfall? Deafening, and the bass seem to love hanging in the pools underneath.
