fish are sctraching themselves

My fish keep scratching themsleve against the rocks in my tank. wuts bugging me is that i cant see anything on their bodies or anything wrong with them for that matter, yet they still rub.

can anyone help?????

got any other info on the tank? like water param ok? is it all of the fish on ur sig line?

Do the salt treatment just in case. Some protozoals will cause this as will ich, the protozoals are to small to see.

my red snakehead rubs against the gravel too. he seems alright.

tried salt guppy, dosent work.

so far my severum, clown loaches, tinfoils, orange fin loaches and balas have all rubbed themselves on the rocks n gravel.

i've noticed this in every tank and/or fish i ever owned

they still act normal, eat n swim and aware of their surroundings.

Fish can get itches, and do this to relieve themselfs.. However, if they do it all on a constant basis, it can be trouble. It's not a completely normal behavior, when being done often. What are your water paramaters? Extended periods of high nitrates I have noticed will cause this too..
