You should accidentally feed it to your friend...maybe under the cheese on a slice of pizza, or in a dark bottle of beer
Perfect! But don't hide it too well; some of the joyful humour is lost if he doesn't eventually find it himself.
In my previous house I had a nice wet bar in my den/trophy-room/man-cave, with a small number of swizzle sticks in a glass always in easy reach. They were carefully cleaned and bleached bear baculums. It was great fun to watch a guest use one. It was far more fun to watch the reaction when they found out what they were using.

I'd did see it hanging out the back end, I think that it was thankfully slim enough to pass through.

Yeah, I think we need to start tracking the movements of your a-hole friend. Does he have an alibi for the day when that poor eel suddenly gained all that weight?
