Hey Everyone,
The following species represent the highlights of the availability lists from my suppliers in Brasil, Colombia and Indonesia for this week. The order deadlines vary. I need orders for Brasil by 3 pm eastern time on Wednesday, 3/3. I need orders for stingrays and arowanas from Colombia by 3 pm on Wednesday, 2/24 as they need more time to condition these and get them ready for export. The rest of the fish from Colombia must be ordered by 3 pm on Thursday, 2/25. Indonesian and Indian orders must be in by 3:00 pm on Thursday, 2/25. Particularly noteworthy this time are a couple of freshwater pipefish on the Indian list and the tankraised Polypterus on the Indonesia list.
Now, a couple of things about how this works. I base my orders on the preorders that I receive so if you want something, you need to tell me that in advance. I will find out on Saturday what is coming in and will ask for payment via Paypal at that time. No other method of payment is accepted. The fish will arrive in the US on Sunday. I will hold and condition the fish. When they are ready to be shipped, I will send them to you via Express Mail, FedEx or Southwest air cargo. You can pay for shipping when the fish are ready to go. You will pay the actual air freight charges when you pick the fish up if you choose to use Southwest. There is a $20 airport delivery charge (it's a 2 1/2 hr round trip to the PHL airport for me).
If a fish is in RED, it is on sale this week. The sizes listed are those provided by the exporters and should be considered a guide. They're not always accurate. The fish may be smaller or larger than the listed size. Some fish, like stingrays and gulper cats, are not listed by size. For those species, I have included the number packed in a box to give you an idea of how big they will be. You can order them in any quantity. The box pack is listed only as a guide to size. Colombian boxes are similar in size to the Florida boxes everyone has seen at their lfs. They are a slightly different footprint but they're taller so more oxygen can be included in the bags.
It is very rare for me to be able to get pictures from any of these exporters.
