A good little book i got ages ago was AN INTERPET GUIDE TO CENTRAL AMERICAN CICHLIDS ( David Sands) great for beginners in the cichlids hobby.

I would recommend Cichlids the pictorial guide by pablo and ian tepoot for Africans it has amazing pictures and they cram a lot of info in to the small comments under them

And did I say AMAZING pictures

I can't wait to look for some of these books, I like going to the libraries around town looking for all the fish books I can find(with pics of course) and it doesn't cost a dime(except some gas money),currently the only 2 books I own are the fresh and saltwater mini atlas'es by axelrod, given to me as a wonderful gift!
