Fish Breed?

I got this fish for free from pet o because they don’t know the breed? Anybody?

Looks pretty close to a veija Synspilum to me but could be a hybrid as well

I appears to be, Vieja melanura (once known as synspiilla)
DNA testing prooved them to be the same species, just color variants of each other, but, because the name melanura was scientificially discribed firstr (1862) it was the name that stuck.
Of course it could be a hybrid, with all the amatuers creating mutts these days.
This Vieja is endemic to Mexico, Guatamala and Belize.

They prefer hard, high pH water, and can top off at about 15", and as such, will require a large tank, over 100 gals
