fish collecting thread

i am interested in all the politics involved in collecting and then transporting these wild fish what are the limitations???
can i drive to florida get a permit collect fish and then drive them home???

The politics in collecting varries from place to place. Places down south, gulf of mexico and cali have a lot of law's and permit's you have to get. If you were to collect somewhere like where i do in NY there are no regulation or permit's needed. You still have to follow the fedral law of the USA. The fedral law states that you cant use clyed to collect fish. Also every state has different law's when it come's to native's. Make sure you stay with in the law or else you will have a lot of prob's on your hands. As for transporting fish get a cooler, Drill two holes in the top one for the air bubler and one for the air to excape. You can get battery air bubler's for like $10 at wal-mart and will last on two d batt's for about 12 hours non stop.

There are a few stories of near death iorny or even death. There was a diver that dove for a guy that i inport from in HI that came up to fast from diveing at 100F and died because he didn't come up slow to decompress himself and died from decompression.

One of my near death iorny was when i was free style diveing in the inlet and wasn't paying attention. I got grabed by a rip tied and got sucked out about 3/4 miles out into the ocean. By the time i finaly made it back to shorei was so tired i just layed on the beach for about a hour. It was a very scary experance and il make sure i read the chart's and weather report's better nower day's.
