Will these go in one tank?

2 Oscars(Tiger & Albino)
1 Peacock Bass
1 Silver Arowana
1 NeedleNose Gar
1 Delhezi Bichir
1 Sailfin Gibbiceps Pleco
1 Tiger Shovelnose Catfish

If all of the fish above get along; what should the minimum tank size be?
And what should the PH & Temperature be in the tank?
Should it be a glass or acrylic tank?
Also I will be keeping the tank bottom bare, other than decor.

Ph should be around 6.5 temp 82.

WHOA!!! No way does it need to be that big!!!

But it definitely has to be around 300g+

Otherwise, I see no problem with those fish staying together. I am sure you can find a common temp, hardness, pH, etc for all of them.

Are you smokin crack?!?! Silver Aro's will definately let alone will grow out a 300 gallon and he is talking about a tiger shovelnose! The estimate of 1,000 gallons is like pretty much dead on. I would say more and put an RTC in the mix.

the needlenose "gar"(not a gar at all but a carachin) reaches a max of 12" which means it will be fish food for nearly all the other fish. the TSN will get HUGE and proboably try to eat the gibby which will kill them both considering the gibby baisically has armor and many pokey bones which will reak havoc on the TSN, or the tsn will eat the bichir.


your lookin at about 1000g for life, 300g wouldnt last long. drop the tsn and your proboably more like 600g.

needlenose will eventually get eaten. And the TSN will get big enough to pretty much eat everything. Other than that sounds fine..

so what should the PH & temperature be?

and i thought you know..since tiger shovelnose are "catfish" i was thinking lazy-ass fish that are'nt even active. Looked them up on youtube..i was wrong. Are there any fish that will be able to crack or break the tank?

also, i am getting a screen for the tank and i wanted to get lights but what do you reccomend? i didn't want those glass tops since i thought it wouldn't be able to hold a couple heavy light fixtures. AND i didn't want to use no tops because I didn't want fish to jump out and break the bulbs that are filled with mercury(?) or some other toxic thing..
would the tank appear "pretty" if they were above those screen mesh tops? or are there BETTER things for the aquarium hobby?

Why would you want a fish that can crack or break your tank? Lol. It depends on the thickness of the tank material. Get rid of the pleco and needlenose and then you'll have a working setup, but the tsn will eventually get too big for the other fish, just keep it well fed.

What's the reason that I have to take the Pleco off the list?

oh, and i would probably get the smallest size fish available at liveaquaria or local fish stores but, is there a order i should put them in? I was thinking putting the smaller guys first and after they get a little big put the small "BIG" boys in..

this is just my thinking but..

Bichir, Oscar, Pleco, Silver Arowana, Peacock Bass, then tiger shovelnose catfish.
what do you think?

Pleco will get or at leasted attempted to be eaten by some fish sooner or later. Bircher will get eaten.

So Oscars, silver, Pbass, TSN, maybe rtc.
