I have just set up a new tank, and put some neon tetra inside there..
It is actually has not been cycled yet, New filter and no substrate..
They are like going to die very soon..
What is the possible reason? I dont think it is because the tank has not been cycled, 1 hour is just too fast..

Have you checked the parameters? Did you put in any dechlors? What are the ammonia levels? Chlorine is most likely the culprit.

No, I have no any test kit with me yet..
I'm getting some common test kit tommorow..
I dont really worry If it is because of chlorine or ammonia, but metal is a headache..
If it is metal, how can I remove them??

Chlorine and chloramine are your problems aside from uncycled tank. Get a dechlorinator and do not buy any more fish until you can buy your test kit.

lesson learned,
Be more patient, wait for the tank to be cycled and
get a test kit before putting any livestock in..

It is my first time have a new tank set up with new filter..

I have the other 2 tanks for a couple of months but It was started with a stabilized substrate and filter media..
So this is why cycling is important, now I get it..

I was just so excited to see fishes in my tank, and now I see dead fishes

Glad you learned from this...

Ouch...dechlorinator is always need for a new tank. I only cycle a tank for a week and everything always works out fine. I know people say more, but I haven't had a problem with a one week cycle.

is dechlorinator have the same function as R.O ??
I read that R.O removes chlorine and some heavy metal..
any good brand?

you have to under stand that Reverse osmosis (r/o) is soft water what happens is;

tap water is cylcled through many levels of cleanin i dont know the names of each stage but what happens pretty much is hard heavy chloroniesd water comes in (tap) soft mineral less (unless minerals were added at plant or you added them) heavy metal less water cines out.

Only a hand-full fish are suitible for this.
