I have a few cichlids in a 30 long and they are dying. I had the tank on the floor at the end of my bed because i was making space for it on the stand i have. My blanket got knock off into the tank and i pulled it out and didnt think it would effect them. So i came back 10 min and the we all on there sides.

I have them out, 100% water change, rinse the sand and used the water from my catfdish tank to hold them. I set the temp to 82 degrees.
One has died and the othere arent looking good. SomeONE help me!!!

What was put on the blanket? Bleach? Perfume? What are the water parameters right now?

I can't help you further without ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. What is the temperature?

It wasnt a spike of anykind that would do with the fish. I have a ac70 on it and just did my second 30% water change this week yesturday..

I change my water enought to not have to worry about those so i thought. It has something to do the blanket but i have no idea what could have happened. It looks as thou the 3 remaining with be ok.
