When I lived in Houston we had an apartment in a big complex that had a man-made waterway running behind it. It was full of all sorts of ducks that were always having ducklings, but you never saw any juvenile ducks. Took the dog for a walk along the backside and stumbled upon the culprit, the biggest Alligator Snapping turtle I'd ever seen. He was an easy 30" front of shell to back.Something used to eat several ducks (sometimes several a day) in my friends pond

At heritage park in Irvine near my grandmas place, koi used to do the same thing. Absolutely huge koi too, everyone loved them. They drained it about 10 years ago and killed all the fish though. IIRC they found a 4 foot catfish too haha.
