Fish eating their own fry/eggs

Perhaps they would rather drive sports cars than pay tuition!

How about fry eating fry? There are quite a few species that the fry will eat the other fry, and it's been attributed to deformitys in the eaten fry. Albinos, Melanistic, etc fry often get eaten by other fry before they are noticed in aquaria. Other physical problems are usually also weeded out (ie, notched backs, lack of eyes, etc) by fry themselves. In other cases, parents eat the fry because of unseen (on our side, atleast) problems. Genetic deformitys, as well as physical. Mostly, it seems, babies are eaten due to lack of space, and fear of competition for food (or just eating them for food! :D). This is just what I've noticed.

If I didn't eat for days because I was freaking out over eggs, I'd be inclined to a scooby snack if not an endless buffet of my own offspring after they hatched.
