ok so i got a silver for about 31 bucks but it has like blue stripes weird ?

I put him in my tank with my oscar whos a little bigger and alot thicker And BAM!!!

oscars chaseing his ass everywhere...

so i neted the oscar out and put him in a 10 gallon.. for now. untill my arow gets used to the tank..

should i put the oscar in the tank with the arrow and let them fight or what??

the oscar is about 7" and a fatty

and my arrows probably 5" and a lil on the thin side. i have a pic but i dont know how to post it.

My aro justr got beat by my pbass, dont put the oscar back in with him, search for a cheap tank for the osacr and feed that aro some good food. That is my suggestion. I learned a valuable lesson with my aro, and he is way too nice to let him get the crap beat out of him. Thats kinda cruel. Good luck.

Yea, im gona feed my arrow alota shrimp and feeders so he gets bigger while with the oscar ill feed him every outher day... hopefully in a month or two my arrow will be much bigger and ill be able to put the oscar back in.

Try krill also, mine loves it and also flake food works for me also. I bought some small scallops and all my fish seem to lve it also. They are cheaper than shrimp.

like live ones or the ones that we can cook and eat? lol

i have some chiclid pellits some algee food and alota flakes/ dried shrimp. but my arrow wont be eating for a day or two because he just went in today.

and the oscar dident help with him getting used to the tank...

But do you think its possible to ever put the oscar back in the tank with the arrow?

Get the frozen scallops the ones you can eat but make sure there are no additives. The ones I use are raw bay scallops , the Wal-Mart brand. And I am not sure if the aro can ever go with the oscar because I have never kept oscars. Someone will be along shortly to let you know more about an oscar with an aro. I just know from my experience that when an aro gets beat, get him to safety and dont chance it again. Ya knwo the definition of psychosis is repeating the same thing over and over, and expecting different results each time. Been there.

 cant stop looking at your sig .. did he actully eat the feeder ?

thats awsome. im gona go get some scallops today but i have a question... should i hold the food in the water or just drop it in.?

and sence im probably not gona be keeping my oscar i might get some new fish because im guessing in a month my silver dollars are gona be missing :naughty:

and does anyone know why my arrow has a tint of blue on him?

I would make small chunks of the food and drop it in the tank if he is scared when people approach the tank. Sometimes mine will snatch it up as soon as it hits the water, sometimes he waits until he can investigate it then grab it off the bottom. Try what works for you. I wouldnt do big peices though.

HEHE he ate a lil peice of shrimp :) circled and then just lazly gulped it.

But my sister is going to make scallops tonight so im gona tell her to pick a couple bags up for me and ill put them in my mini fridge next to my tank (thats where i keep alota the frozen food) But i'm gona try and find some one who wants my oscar and i might end up getting a smaller one or keeping the oscar in the 10gallon for a month or 2.
not sure.

thanks for the help though. If i knew how to post a pic i would show u him but hehe i dont
