ok, i have to ask.. D,C, AA and AAA cell batteries are standard battery sizes there also right?

can you buy them online? or could one of us MFKers get them for you on this side of the pond and ship them to you?

or can you buy a generator? like a small RV generator to run your tanks in an emergency.

Another option thats no one's mentioned is to use a UPS system on your filtration only. The units provide battery back up in case of a power failure and operate automaticly. Fairly reasonably priced too when compared with a portable generator. The only drawback to the UPS is the finite battery life. Check your local computer stores or on line computer supply places for sizes and prices.
