well i moved out after attending community college for a year and im now in a dorm, im allowed a 10 Gal Aquarium max, so i had to sell my 150 and all my fish, but im not out of the hobby, any suggestions for stocking a 10gallon? im a firm believer in overfiltration, and im talking a canister on a 10, so if its close than no worries, all suggestions are welcome and appreciated

not a bad idea! a school of 5 in a well planted ten? maybe a few corrys? would that work, iv never had experience with the exodons, are they similar to buenes ares tetras?

A betta would be cool, a figure 8 puffer (requires some salinity), peapuffers, or dollar sunfish.

I don't think exodons are a good option because they get 4-6" long and will mutilate each other. They are a schooling fish but I've read if you keep less than ten together they will all kill each other. Also you can't mix them with anything do to aggressive behavior. My LFS has a 220 piranha tank with six 12" plus red belly piranhas and fourteen 5" exodons and every once in a while the exodons will gang up and go after and corner the piranha. The manager eventually had to take the exodons out but there are still like four left. Luckily the tank is big enough to where they don't see each other.

i was only allowed a10 gallon as well, good thing they never mesaured :)

well... im now leaning towards a craw fish and a **** ton of guppies hahaha maybe a puffer, but i absolutly hate salt creep and the destructive propertys of salt in general.... any objections to this: 1 figure 8 (or green spotted) puffer, 1 crawfish, guppies/mollys/platys (live bearers), otocinclus, cory cat, and pond snails, maybe a muscle or freshwater clam, the water will be slightly brackish let me know what you think!
