what are the biggest, meanest fish i could put in my 55 that wont out grow my tank. i want some fish that are very colorful, active, aggressive, eats live fish, and has the biggest teeth thats not illegal in Fl

They aren't big, but you could put quite a large shoal of exodons in a 55. Search YouTube for exodon feeding videos and tell me your not impressed!

Maybe a shortbody or bonsai flowerhorn. Flowerhorns are terrors but can be awesome in color and personality. Not all are gonna have teeth though. A shoal of exodons would kick ass, like piranha but smaller.

already did that on his other thread LOL

A few green sunfish would be beastly. You could do a spawning pair in there with lots of plant work, or a group of females. I'd just do one big ol' male, personally. They have pretty cool teeth and more personality than Oscars. They also hit food with serious madness. Very interactive fish. Actually, of all the fish I've ever had, the all-around best with strength in every category would have to be the green sunfish. Pretty, hardy, not too huge, not too small, eats anything, takes any pH and even tolerates mistakes. Usually free or cheap, too.

I would get a FH. They are really aggressive and I would keep it alone.

*sigh* Flowerhorns are taking over the world these days...insult to fish purity but they are great wet pets. I still have extremely polarized feelings about FH. But you could do a short-bodied Flower in there and I'm sure it would be rewarding.

True but I see just as many cichla on the forums as I do flowerhorns. Its time to accept they aren't going anywhere until the next new awesome hybrid shows up like an oscar golfish.

how big and how much do the flowerhorns cost and can i keep them with a dempsey and a eel

Not in the same tank. It depends on the quality, size, age, sex, and where you buy it. You could pay anywhere from $10-500.
