what about Arapaima or Managuense

I am not trying to be rude, I am sincerely asking, that was a joke right? i think the bichirs could be a good bet for you in all seriousness

Arapaima are known to grow 15 ft long. I really didn't mean anything rude by that I sincerely thought it might have been a joke, I would post a pic or even a link but I am on my phone so I can't at the moment, try searching for the 5000 gallon aquarium build, he has a nice size arapaima

oh that was my bad i copyed the wrong one i ment Datnoid. ive seen those things on some fishing shows i watch. wish i could have one of them ,maybe in my pool.

Oh ok, that makes it much better then, umm datnoids I have been told, but I have never actually kept them are slow growers. But honestly if you aren't planning on upgrading at all I would still stay away from dats because they will, eventually, need a larger tank. Just my 2 cents but I am far from a datnoid expert

Puffer. One of the medium-sized freshwater ones that gets around 6" - 8". Just do research and make sure you have a correct ID and adult size. Probably want to start a snail culture now, too, if you go the puffer route. And know that he'll be the only thing in the tank.
