Fish frome petsmart

i have heard bad things but saw a beautiful oscar there
whenever i am their they are cleaning the tanks so i think it will be ok any help on if i should get it

Petsmart fish are usually fine, only downside is a lot of the time they come with ick.

The quality varies from store to store. Some stores actually have employees that know a thing or two about fishes and can hold their own while other stores have employees that don't know squat and only know what they got from their extremely inadequate and inaccurate training.

Some petsmarts are good, some are bad. If you see a fish you like and you can take care of it, why not get it.
My only suggestion is to put it in a medicine tank if you have one.

i work at a petsmart and the head petcare associate there knows more about fish than anyone i know even on these fourm sites, and ive heard better advice from her than from owners of local fish stores but thats only the one i work at but there are also others there that dont know anything but disease is never a probem and all the fish come from 1 or 2 diferent petsmart owned hugh breeders, so i assume that if mine is dease free than same with most bc they all come from th esame place

can you tell her to transfer to north carolina to be our pet care manager? ours thinks you gravel vac by moving the syphon OVER the gravel and not putting it down in it...

wow. but shes not even the manager just the full time petcare associate, she would wipe the floor with my pc manager, my manager isnt dumb but shes also not as knolageable. but either way petsmart is the best store around my town

I've gotten different fish from different petsmarts a few times and i've been fine with them...
the worst thing thats happened was ick... which is easily treated.
