Fish gasping please help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Best water conditioner here in Australia to use is Seachem prime as we have a lot of chlorine n chloramine in our tap water. For water changes I have a 50 gallon drum with a pump, air stone and heater and usually just top it up with water and give it a triple dose of Seachem prime( says you can do 4x safely in emergency) a day or 2 before water change day. I do weekly 70-80% changes and my fish couldn't be happier and I never have health problems. This also ensures my nitrates are always between 0 and 5. I'd be doing 50% daily water changes until everything levels out.

U guy have anything that work with scaleless in tank?
I have chemical but cant use while my knife in there

Prime is fine to use with tetras, loaches and catfish. Have never owned a knife but I'm 99% sure prime will be fine with your bgk.

Also what sort of filter are you using? 75 gal isn't very big tank for all those fish and your bio media may not be able to keep up even once cycled. Also make sure your tanks getting plenty of oxygen and not too hot.

My filter is a double fall for 75gl, i will move my fish to bigger tank when they bigger, my temp is 75 F

my BKG fish is on five years. Safe/prime every week to condition the water. same for the sun cat. IMHO there is not a better water conditioner for tap water. if you roe your water you do not need conditioner.
