ok so ill get a 250 watt heater, its only 40cents more I see, and as for my stock, right now I can tell you im not doing more than 4-6 fish in there, cons don't get huge. And the JD's will be 1-2 inches when i get them in there. I don't over feed but im not really comfy with doing a 50% change a week, maybe 2-3 weeks would work, but right now im doing the change with a bucket and a cup in my 16 gallon, whats a better way?

A short hose that will reach up into your tank and down into the bucket with a few inches to spare. That will do the water change a lot faster and will act as a siphon in the meantime. Thats what I use.
