I like convicts for their personality and activeness and ease of raising them.

I love carpintis because they are full of personality and is crazy. And beautiful. But yeah crazy.

i personally love nicaraguan cichlids, they are awesome to raise and if you get a breeding pair they can be humorous at times

There's a lot of wisdom in this sentence. I'd add that there's a good reason JDs have been in the hobby forever: they rock!

I'm trying to think of a CA cichlid I definitely wouldn't want someday. God made those fish last. The rest were rough drafts.

I like wild-type convicts, Cryptoheros and similar...as well as acaras, chanchitos and eartheaters...

*Not the silver dudes. Filament barbs are surprisingly rare (and from India).
